Suicidal Tendency Analysis

The cases of suicides are increasing day by day, as the depression is rising people are losing their way towards mind’s peace and happiness. A suicidal person now was normal before. But what made them suicidal is the question.

Let’s have a deep analysis of the issue:

Every brain reacts to pain differently. Some brain doesn’t get panicked more, some get a huge panic, some ignores it and some tries to find peace. Researches say that man is more tend to be suicidal then female.

As there are several explanations for this: -

· Men are less likely to seek help when they are distressed.

· Men have a higher prevalence of alcohol and drug abuse, which leads to suicidal tendencies.

· Men are more aggressive and use more lethal means when attempting suicide.

· The number of suicides in men includes suicides among military personnel and veterans, where there is a higher proportion of men to women.

Other risk factors for suicide include the following:

· Most other serious mental disorders

· Use of alcohol, drugs of abuse, and prescription analgesics

· Previous suicide attempts

· Serious physical disorders, especially in the elderly

· Personality disorders

· Impulsivity

· Unemployment and economic downturns

· Traumatic childhood experiences

· Family history of suicide and/or mental disorders

Death by suicide is more common among people with a mental disorder than among age- and sex-matched controls.

Some people with schizophrenia die by suicide, sometimes because of depression, to which these people are prone. The suicide method may be bizarre and violent. Attempted suicide among people with a diagnosis of schizophrenia is more common than previously thought.

How Psychiatric care does help?

Psychiatrists are the mental health experts, they treat the human brain-related issues. Suicidal tendency is the bi-products of depression, anxiety, or trauma.

Behaviour modification is a therapeutic approach designed to change a particular undesirable negative behaviour. By using a system of positive or negative consequences, an individual learns the correct set of responses for any given stimulus.

Cognitive behavioural therapy is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions and behaviours, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.

Motivational interviewing is a counselling approach developed in part by clinical psychologists William R. Miller and Stephen Rollnick. It is a directive, client-centred counselling style for eliciting behaviour change by helping clients to explore and resolve ambivalence.

Treatment for anxiety, depression helps in taking the person out of the zone which can lead to suicidal thoughts. One should search Psychiatric in Indore as there are some very depression doctors in Indore available.
